We’ve never seen anything like this in Canada! This market is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It spans several city blocks. The first time we went, we stuck to the fruit section. We saw several kinds of fruit that we’ve never even heard of before. The second time we also got fruit, but we went on to explore the meat and fish section. Some neat things we saw included pig’s feet, beef tongue, some kind of small bowel with attached mesentery, lots of chicken, and pig ears. We didn’t see any slaughtering, but we had front row seats to the butcher work. So much so that I was questioning flip flops as my choice of footwear! Pictures in this area are few because Russell was in my arms and Leisel was getting some fresh air :-). Overall a terrific experience and somewhere we would go at least weekly if we lived here.
