Our time in Davao city has come to an end. Davao is a beautiful city and we felt completely safe there. We met a number of people and organizations doing really good work and we’re humbled and inspired after spending time with them. One organization in particular is SOS Children’s Villages; they offer a unique and beautiful alternative to orphanages.

Our next stop is the highly anticipated Palawan. We will spend time in 3 places on the island of Palawan, roughly a week each: a jungle resort (between Puerto Princesa and Sabang); El Nido; and Coron. Our route from Davao City to Palawan involved a flight from Davao City to Cebu, a one day layover, then a flight from Cebu to Palawan. Leisel found a great little resort for the night, but first we went to Cebu’s Ocean Park. (Finally we get to the title of the post!) Ocean Park is basically a zoo of aquariums, with a super-fun interactive bird exhibit thrown in. I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
Definitely a worthwhile stop!!
