We woke up to a beautiful sunny day for island hopping out of Concepcion. En route to the first stop, we saw hundreds of buoys arranged in rows. Our guide explained these were pearl farms! Arwen immediately chose pearl farming as her next research project :-). The first stop was a beautiful coral garden. Russell made progress at snorkelling off a boat instead of from shore. I’ll figure out how to get the underwater pictures uploaded eventually… The second stop was another gorgeous coral reef. I stayed out longer than the kids at this reef. When I got back, I found them swinging on the boat’s outriggers like monkeys and splashing in the water. The captain seemed genuinely pleased with how much fun they were having playing on his boat. The last stop was Pass Island. This is a very popular beach with crystal clear water and white sand. There was a nice lookout at the top of the island, but I should have worn sandals because the concrete up there was hot!! We slept great that night after all our swimming:-)
